Today, the people of Ukraine, the state, the economy, and everything that the country was building up to live and create a future for itself, for its children in a free independent country, are under unprecedented incomprehensible destruction ununderstandable in the 21st century, break out on 24 February 2022 with Russia's invasion and its large-scale military action in a peaceful neighboring country.
We support Ukraine in its struggle for freedom, for life, and justice, for its future, and for its rights. We stand shoulder to shoulder with those who choose to defend European values, peace, and democracy, who chose to prevent a fierce and illegitimate war. We support Ukraine's call for Russia immediately stop its military aggression against Ukraine.
We condemn Russia's military aggression against a peaceful country, where thousands of innocent people are killed and countries sovereignty violated.
We are in close contact with the Ukrainian Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries and we know what the Ukrainian people are going through, how they are defending their country with arms, and with their work, what everyone can do best.
In solidarity with the Ukrainian people, state, and its leaders, we call on Lithuanian gambling and lottery companies to join in supporting Ukraine in this war and to refrain from business relations or other cooperation with Russian companies and other organizations in order to prevent the financing of the Russian war machine.
Verified information on Russia's military aggression can be found on the information platform https://war.ukraine.ua/, created by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which, according to the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmitro Kuleba, is "de facto a living documentation of the war unfolding in front of the eyes of the world".
We also share a link to Ukraine's humanitarian aid portal https://help.gov.ua, created by the Office of the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, for those who wish to help.
As our Ukrainian colleagues say - "We are as strong as we are united and as weak as we are divided by the enemy". So let us be and remain united and strong for the common goal of supporting and helping Ukraine in a way that each of us can do.
