Sponsorship and gambling advertising – regulatory criteria
The Gaming Control Authority under the Ministry of Finance has updated their Consultation on permitted gambling advertising. The updated Consultation clarifies the amendments to the requirements for warning in gambling ads, establishing criteria when the sponsorship information shall be treated as gambling advertising.
According to the provisions of the Gaming Law, a publication of the advertising must be accompanied by a warning notice that participation in gaming may lead to gaming addiction or pathological gaming.
This Consultation is intended to provide information to gambling operators, the media, and the general public by explaining what gambling advertising is allowed and what you need to know before advertising gambling through external communication means.
